History

Considering their experience with the Humanitarian and Development sector the group was cognizant of the problems plaguing the country. This led the founders to respond to the urgent needs of people in the North East and contributed into the emergency humanitarian crisis which have led to the collapse of socio-economic institutions. New enabling factors, disruptions of access to livelihood, breakdown of traditional structures, expansion of organized crimes, higher risk tolerance among IDP populations and increase pool of vulnerable population which made camps and host communities a breeding ground for exploitation, abuse, neglect violence and child trafficking.

RRF – owing to the linkages of its members with national & international agencies, Government, UN Agencies, Philanthropist, Faith based organizations, INGOs, NNGOs, and Donors – enjoys a diverse portfolio. This is characterized by partnership, thereby utilize such opportunities to build its staff and volunteers capacity in all areas of programming and work with consultants in strategic areas of financial management, procurement, Monitoring and evaluation, to keep check and balance and to ensure that all RRF’s activities and finances are guided by policies.
